On may 27, Oleksandr Korolyuk, Director of Veolia enterprises in Ukraine, took part in a meeting of representatives of the German economy and finance with Prime Minister Denis Schmygal.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel held their first virtual meeting via videoconference on may 12.
The German-Ukrainian chamber of industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine) took this opportunity to suggest that the Ukrainian government also hold a meeting with representatives of the German economy in Ukraine within this framework.
This proposal was accepted, and on may 27 in Kyiv, a personal meeting was held between the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal and representatives of certain German companies with the participation of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine Anka Feldguzen. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the government of Ukraine about the existing barriers and obstacles to the implementation of current investment projects of German or other foreign companies in Ukraine, as well as to find solutions to such problematic cases.
